Balihow – Siti Ruhaini Dzuhayatin, former Special Staff (Stafsus) for International Religious Affairs to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), has been inaugurated as the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Siti’s name was included in the list of 31 ambassadors inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto on Monday, March 24, 2025.

Siti Ruhaini is a prominent Islamic figure and human rights activist with extensive experience both domestically and internationally.

Siti Ruhaini Dzuhayatin is renowned as an expert and activist on issues related to Islam, human rights, and democracy, particularly concerning gender equality.

Besides lecturing at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Siti Ruhaini is deeply involved in social movements. She even co-founded Rifka Annisa Women’s Crisis Center in Yogyakarta and served as its chairperson.

Siti also served as the Director of the Center for Women’s Studies (PSW) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, a Board of Supervisors member at PUSHAM UII, and initiated the establishment of the Indonesian Community for Democracy (KID).
